Preserve your fresh herbs for much longer
This simple trick works best with firm, fresh organic herbs, such as rosemary, sage, thyme, and oregano. Once complete, simply cook the herb infused cubes with onions and garlic. The delicious aroma and flavour will be spread through your entire dish.
1) Wash and finely chop the herbs – if you wish, and pack the wells of ice cube trays about 2/3 full of herbs.
2) Pour Absolute Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil on the wells of ice cube with the herbs, cover lightly with cling wrap and freeze overnight.
3) Remove the frozen cubes and store in freezer containers labelling each of them with the type of herb inside.
