Easter Cake Pops

Easter Cake Pops

You can make this cake pops with 2 different kinds of fillings: with your favourite ‘energy ball’ recipe, or with your favourite cake recipe.

To make the filling with the cake, start by baking your favourite cake.

Once it cools down, crumble it into small pieces. We prepared a delicious dulce de leche (caramel) to bind our crumbled cake together into Easter eggs. To make the caramel, place a can of condensed milk into a pressure cooker for 1 hour or in boiling water for 3:30 hours. When you open the can, the caramel will magically be ready to eat by the spoonful!

Bind the caramel into the crumbled cake and roll the mixture into small Easter egg cake pops. Place each one on a stick and place them in the freezer for 40 minutes – 1 hour.

Follow the steps below for both the cake with cream (after ready) and the energy balls.

This can be a tricky recipe as working with chocolate and different textures require some experience, so when making this dessert make sure to have fun and embrace the mess if it happens! Happy Easter
