What’s in season in November?

November, the last month of Spring.

In fruit this month, stone fruit is Queen. We see Nectarines and Peaches start it off, with Apricots coming later in the month. They make a delicious medley in any fruit salad.

Cherries show themselves too, letting us know Christmas will be here soon!
Kensington Pride Mangoes are going strong, with their delicious smell and taste. Perfect for those hot days we have.

All the melons show themselves this month too – Watermelon, Rockmelon and Honeydew. Refreshing on their own or made into a sorbet.

Valencia Oranges are here to stay for a while. This orange is perfect made into juice; it is so juicy!

Keeping with citrus, Limes start to show themselves again, bringing that fresh citrus flavour to any dish or drink.

Blueberries are plentiful, bringing all their antioxidant goodness to us and keeping us youthful!

Still available – yellow and ruby grapefruit, hass avocados, bananas, apples, lemons.

In vegetables, Lebanese cucumbers and zucchinis are both plentiful. Perfect as an alternative to pasta, zucchini noodles are the way to go.

Staying green, Asparagus continues to keep it interesting. With the stalks of goodness, simply sliced and lightly sauteed, keeps this vegetable delicious.

Leafy greens such as Cos lettuce, Kale, Silverbeet, English Spinach and Asian greens are all abundant. Great for keeping us healthy inside and out! Perfect for salads and stirfries.

Mushrooms come out from the dark and show more of themselves this month. Great in soups, sauces and stirfries.

Beetroot keeps us grounded with its rich colour and earthy flavour. Delicious eaten raw, pickled or roasted.

Capsicums turn up this month. These are delicious roasted or added to a stir fry.

The beautiful coloured Italian purple garlic keeps us healthy this month. Giving us a delicious flavour kick, we need to our meals.

Also available potatoes, broccoli, carrot, cabbage.
